Homer Comic Class: the Results

I just got back from Homer and my series of four comic classes was a complete success.  All four classes were chock full of kids who were super enthusiastic about comic making.  I made a point of hanging up everyone's work as they completed it and the room was completely covered by the end.

Unused AUY illustrations

These aren't going to be used in the print campaign, but I liked them.

My cartoons animated!

I recently had the opportunity to do some artwork for the Anchorage United for Youth advertising campaign.   They wanted a RSA style comic on short notice, so I ended up doing a motion capture of my artwork using Sketchbook Pro, which was condensed and edited by the ad agency.   The taxing thing was that I had to draw it straight through over 20+ minutes without making a mistake.

drawing program: Sketchbook Pro
motion capture: CamStudio (open-source/free)
