oooh, copying!

I'm going to try to post sketches more regularly. One excerise I've been trying is, not to put too fine a point on it, copying portraits from magazines, hopefully to learn a bit of skill or at least do a passable resemblance. Here's one of the more interesting to start us off.

Sketches!!

I realized it has been months and months since I've posted up any sketches from my sketchbooks. I've taken to sketching during my lunch hours at work, mostly stuff related to the strip or side projects, but every now and then there is some unrelated stuff that is pretty fun. Not great art, but fun.

Also, I’m opening the floodgates for reader submissions. I’m busier than ever, tired, and feeling generous. If you’ve had an idea for YSL but your lack of artistic ambition or copyright lawsuits prevented them reaching fruition, post them up. If your idea ends up in the strip, I will cite your brilliance and send you an original sketch as a reward. Yeah!

If you live outside Alaska, I’ll even clip out the strip and send it to you to show your friends (or mother) Everybody wins!
